Sonavi Labs secured a pilot program with Cornell Medical School for FeelixProTM, a digital stethoscope for clinicians that uses a proprietary classification algorithm to automatically detect abnormalities in lung and body sound. The pilot program features a clinical study with medical students, hospitalists, and nursing students to evaluate the use of FeelixProTM in auscultation training. While the usage of auscultation is a diagnostic practice used by clinicians worldwide, it does lend itself to subjectivity from physician to physician. This study is the first of multiple planned with Cornell to not only evaluate the use of Sonavi Lab’s adaptive noise suppression but to demonstrate the objective use of the classification algorithm on clinical decision making. Sonavi Labs is connected with Cornell Medical School through its participation in the New York Healthcare Entrepreneurship Community Challenge.
